One of the advantages
of this trek is that it starts directly from Leh. The first part
of the route is not pleasant as it passes an area used for dumping
rubbish. On the way you have to cross the bridge over the clear
tumbling Sabu River. You walk up through pastures between high
boulder filled moraines. The views from the pass are excellent
there are wonderful views over the stok mountains with stok khangri
dominating the scene. The mountains you can see to the North
are the Saser range of the eastern Karakorma which contain Ladakh's
highest peak, Saser Khangri (7670m). The route crosses beautiful
small plateaus where the stream losses most of its energy forming
long deep slow moving pools. The going gets quite hard as the
ground is hummocky and wet. The aridity of the Nubra landscape
becomes starkly apparent as you see it contrasting with the vibrant
fertility of the village fields in front of you. |

|
Day 1. Delhi-
Leh
Early in the morning transfer to airport for flight to Leh. On
arrival transfer to hotel. Leh is the capital of Ladakh. (3500m)
After few hours of rests to get used to the altitude. Start to
Visit, Leh palace and Leh Bazaar. Overnight hotel.
Day 2.
Leh.
After breakfast visit SHANKAR monastery, 20 minutes walk form
Leh Bazar. Monastery is belong to monk Sakya Pa. Many precious
and golden object to be seen. Then Visit Shanit Stupa at the
edn Visit Tsemo Monastery (temples of Maitreya and Avalokiteshvara
Buddha)
Good view of the Lhe Bazar from the monastery. Afternoon free.
Overnight hotel.
Day 3.
Leh- Sabu base camp. 5h
Morning after breakfast drive to Sabu. And walk towards Sabu
base camp. Overnight tent.
Day 4.
Sabu base camp - Digar base camp (4580m)5h
Morning after breakfast walk to reach Digar base camp. Overnight
tent.
Day 5.
Digar base camp- Digar 5h
Morning after breakfast start to walk to reach Digar (4200M)
by crossing Digar La (5300m). Overnight tent.
Day 6.
Digar - Hodtong 5h
Morning after breakfast start to walk to reach Hodtong. (3750m).
Overnight tent.
Day 7.
Hodtong- Rongdo 6h
Morning after breakfast start to walk to reach Rongdo. (4450m).
Overnight tent.
Day 8.
Rongdo - Khalsar - Diskit.
Morning after breakfast start to walk to reach Khalsar.5h and
drive to Diskit visit the 1420 years old monastery of Diskit
and Sight seeing to Hunder. Overnight hotel.
Day 9.
Diskit - Leh.
Morning after breakfast leave the hotel with pack lunch and visit
Summur, Kyagar and on of the most famous hot spring of Panamik
village. Afternoon drive back to Leh via Khardongla (5540m) the
world highest motor able road. Overnight hotel.
Day 10.
Leh
Free day in leh. Overnight hotel.
Day 11.
Leh- Delhi.(Flight)
Transfer at the airport 2h before of lyour plane leaving. |

Treks
in lodge:
Welcome at the airport,
transfer to hotel/airport. Comfortable 2 stars hotel (near center
of Thamel) with breakfast, rooms with double bed/shower. All
treks are in full board. Accommodation and meals in the Lodges
(good quality locale food, the meals are not order by each
client in every lodge, but following the menu proposed by the
guide). All the transports (go/back on the places of trek
and during the trek). Accompany by a professional Guide and one
porter for 2 persons to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2
persons). Trekking permit and reconfirmation of your return plane
ticket.

Trekking equipments,
professional Guide, kitchen boy and porters. Lodging under tent,
meals are prepared by cook. |

TREK UNDER TENT: Camping trek includes a team of guide,
assistant, cook & porters to accompany you. Porters carry
all trekking gears, food, fuel, & personal belongings, and
cook and assistants prepares hot meals. Trekkers carry only small
bag or what they might need during the day. we provide dining
tents, sleeping tents, mattress and toilet tents. |

FOOD DURING
TREK: Base of meals during
the trek are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast).
all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek
the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide
order the food |

Note: All participants have to give a copy
of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance
company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in
case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't
cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu
and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses
paid by Nepal Ecology Treks for your helicopter rescue or research.
Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
** In
trek the guide is allowed
to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and
the physical condition of participants. Each participant who
stop his trek or make this trek more-fast cannot ask any money
compensation to the agency. |
