Trekking Programme |
|
|
Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu, welcome to the
airport transfer to hotel.
Day 2.
Kathmandu visits, visit
accompanied by a professional guide. You can visit great 3 temples
and stuppas of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath (Hindu), Swayambunath
(Hindu and Buddhist) and Bodhnath the pilgrims Tibetans who come
to pray.
Day 3. Kathmandu - Bungamati
Departure from Kathmandu in local bus for Bungamati Visit of
Bungamati, a beautiful village of newar or one recovers sculptors
on
wood, follow-up by the visit of the village of Khokana or women
spin and weave wool. These two villages are medieval pace. We
will leave on foot for the village of Pharping or be the famous
Underground cave of Padmasambhaba (Guru Rimpoche), and Ashura
Cellar, and the monastery of Dhang Chholing Gumba or be the Vajra
Yoghini (Buddhist symbol).
Day 4.
Pharping visit
Visit of the temple Dakshin Kali (temple of the Kali goddess
or who take animal sacrifices on Tuesday and Saturday. This temple
is situated on south of Kathmandu. These sacrifices take place
to calm the bloodthirsty thirst of the Kali goddess and so that
the Saturday (ominous day for animals) doesn't take place too
pain. About hundred Nepalese give back of it visit with flowers,
fruits and incenses to sacrifice chickens and young goats offered
to Kali. It is believe sacrifice of animal to this god makes
his/ her wishes come true.
Day 5. Pharping visits
Visit of a Danuwar village (particular ethnic) and other village
with landscapes of cultures in magnificent terraces (picnic spot).
Night in hotel.
Day 6. Pharping - Markhu
Departure on foot from Pharping for Markhu (stage of 5h of walking)
via Kulekhani, Phurandi and Phakal (villages typical of Tamangs,
Newarses, Chetrises and Bramanses). One can see of it a big collection
of water for the production of electricity. Night in lodge of
Markhu
Day 7. Markhu - Daman
Departure in local bus for Palung and visit of the village. After
noon departure on foot (2h1/2) for Daman. Daman is one of the
best view on of Himalayan chain. Night in Daman hotel.
Day 8. Daman
Visit of the Temple Rikeshwar and a village of Tamangs ethnic,
if the sky is clear we can see panoramic view of Himalayas Annapurnas,
Machhapuchare etc.. Night in hotel.
Day 9. Daman - Palung
Departure from Daman on foot 2h, visit of the Newari village
of Palung. Night in lodge.
Day 10.
Palung - Kathmandu
Departure from Palung to Kathmandu in local bus (4h). A long
journey, with the discovery of superb cultures in terraces.
Day 11. Kathmandu visits
Visit of Bhaktapur and Shangunarayan. Return back to Kathmandu.
Night in hotel
Day 12. Kathmandu free day
Day 13. Transfer to airport 3 hours before your
plane leaving time. |

Treks
in lodge:
Welcome at the airport,
transfer to hotel/airport. Comfortable 2 stars hotel (near center
of Thamel) with breakfast, rooms with double bed/shower. All
treks are in full board. Accommodation and meals in the Lodges
(good quality locale food, the meals are not order by each
client in every lodge, but following the menu proposed by the
guide). All the transports (go/back on the places of trek
and during the trek). Accompany by a professional Guide and one
porter for 2 persons to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2
persons). Trekking permit and reconfirmation of your return plane
ticket.

under tent:
Trekking equipments,
professional Guide, kitchen boy and porters. Lodging under tent,
meals are prepared by cook. |

TREK UNDER TENT: Camping trek includes a team of guide,
assistant, cook & porters to accompany you. Porters carry
all trekking gears, food, fuel, & personal belongings, and
cook and assistants prepares hot meals. Trekkers carry only small
bag or what they might need during the day. we provide dining
tents, sleeping tents, mattress and toilet tents. |

TREK IN LODGE. The lodges are simple mountain shelters,
providing meals (very good local food) and simple rooms with
2 or 4 beds (Only in Ledhar and Phedi, it is a common dormitory).
In each lodge, you find a room with water (same as shower) for
bath. The treks in lodge pass in a very convivial atmosphere
permitting to have a closer look of Nepalese mountain life and
to encounter new person every day. It also permits to be in warm
room (kitchen and restaurant room) in cold season… |

FOOD DURING
TREK: Base of meals during
the trek are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast).
all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek
the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide
order the food |

Note: All participants have to give a copy
of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance
company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in
case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't
cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu
and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses
paid by Nepal Ecology Treks for your helicopter rescue or research.
Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
** In
trek the guide is allowed
to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and
the physical condition of participants. Each participant who
stop his trek or make this trek more-fast cannot ask any money
compensation to the agency. |
