IMPORTANT PASSES, LARKYA LA 5200m (Manaslu) AND
THORONG LA 5415m (Annapurna) Trek of sustained rhythm. A superb
trek, without technical difficulties, that demands endurance
from those who already have a good experience of trek. This trek
does in one part the circuit of Manaslu by a pass at 5200m to
end up in the Annapurnas by a pass of 5416m in the second part.
From wild and little known Nepal, from small villages to great
summits, imposing landscapes and panoramas on the numerous great
sumits. A trek of great variety that permits to have an excellent
encounter with the multifarious facets of Nepal and her different
ethnic groups. From 5 to 7h of walk per day. |

|
D.I : Arrival in
Kathmandu (alt 1300M). Welcome at the airport. and transfer to
the hotel . Hotel included
D.2 :Free day in Kathmandu
D.3. Leaving Kathmandu in bus for Gorkha (1143m), point of start
of trek. Visit of temples and palaces.
D.4. Leaving Gorkha for Kanchok Bhanjang, 927m, 5h30.
D.5. Descending towards Arughat bazaar (500m) along the river
Mukhti. From here onwards for several days we follow the spectacular
gorges of the seething Buri Kandaki river, 6h.
D.6. Leaving for Labhu Besi 880m through numerous forests with
many monkeys. Many Gurung houses on the way. The Gurung women
are clothed in velvet waistcoats and numerous jewels.
D.7. Leaving for Khorlabesi 970m, 5h, a narrow path with steep
slopes following the river.
D.8. Leaving for Jagat, 1370m, between the stiff rock walls by
passing the hot springs (Tatopani, tato =hot, pani = water in
Nepali). Beautiful stone houses in Jagat and the first stupa
of the valley.
D.9. Leaving for Nyak 2340m, 6h, perched on a promontory above
the river. The splendidly sculpted prayers' walls give impression
of a museum in the mountains.
D.10. Leaving for Ghap (2380m) 5h30, (superb sculptures of Buddha),
crossing the river by the suspension bridges.
D.11. Leaving for Lho, 3020m, 6h. This is a region that trade
with Tibet by yak and horse caravans in a setting of rhododendron
and bamboo forests. In Lho interesting Gompa (temple) to see.
D.12. Leaving for Sama Gompa, 3390, 5h. Region mainly inhabited
by the Tibetans. Fantastic panoramas on Manaslu, Manaslu North
and Naike.
D.13. Leaving for Sumdo, 3690m, 6h. Last village that trade with
Tibet (1 day's journey) by the pass of Gya La. A temple with
silver statues brought from Tibet during the Chinese invasion.
D.14. Leaving for Dharamsala 4460m, 3h, up to the feet of the
immense glacier that descends from Manaslu, Larkya.
D.15. Leaving for Bhimtang, 3590, 5h, by passing Larkya La (5212m).
This step of the trek is to be started early in the morning to
avoid the mists which invade often the summit in the morning.
Imposing panoramas on several summits such as Cheo Himal 6820m,
Himlung Himal 7126m, Annapurna II 7937m, Kang Guru 6981m followed
by a rapid descent by the side of glaciers and moraines.
D.16. Leaving for Tilije, 2300, 6h, easy path
D.17. Leaving for Bargarchap (2000m / 7h) - now we are in the
region of Annapurnas.
D.18. Leaving for Chame (2713m), first Tibetan village.
D.19. Leaving for Pisang (3165m / 6h).
D.20. Leaving for Manang (3351m), typical Tibetan village with
monasteries and stupas, views on Annapurnas II and IV, and Gangapurna.
D.21. Leaving for Thorong Phedi (4420m).
D.22. Leaving very early in the morning with electric lamps to
cross the Thorong La pass (5400m) before 8AM because of violent
winds that blow around the pass. Descent to Muktinath (3800m
/ 9h of walk).
D.23. Leaving Muktinath for Jomsom (gateway of Mustang)
D.24 Jomsom for Pokhara by Plane 30mn. Hotel included.
D.25. Leaving from Pokhara for Kathmandu by tourist bus. ). (if
you like come back to Kathmandu by flying over the Himalayas,
it will be 75 dollars per person supplementary which is not include
in this price)
D.26. Free day in Kathmandu. Transfer to airport 3h before your
plane leaving time. |

in lodge:
Welcome at the airport,
transfer to hotel/airport. Comfortable 2 stars hotel (near center
of Thamel) with breakfast, rooms with double bed/shower. All
treks are in full board. Accommodation and meals in the Lodges
(good quality locale food, the meals are not order by each
client in every lodge, but following the menu proposed by the
guide). All the transports (go/back on the places of trek
and during the trek).Accompany by a professional Guide and one
porter for 2 persons to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2
persons). Trekking permit and reconfirmation of your return plane
ticket.
Treks

Trekking equipments,
professional Guide, kitchen boy and porters. Lodging under tent,
meals are prepared by cook. |

TREK UNDER TENT: Camping trek includes a team of guide,
assistant, cook & porters to accompany you. Porters carry
all trekking gears, food, fuel, & personal belongings, and
cook and assistants prepares hot meals. Trekkers carry only small
bag or what they might need during the day. we provide dining
tents, sleeping tents, mattress and toilet tents. |

TREK IN LODGE. The lodges are simple mountain shelters,
providing meals (very good local food) and simple rooms with
2 or 4 beds (Only in Ledhar and Phedi, it is a common dormitory).
In each lodge, you find a room with water (same as shower) for
bath. The treks in lodge pass in a very convivial atmosphere
permitting to have a closer look of Nepalese mountain life and
to encounter new person every day. It also permits to be in warm
room (kitchen and restaurant room) in cold season

FOOD DURING
TREK: Base of meals during
the trek are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast).
all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek
the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide
order the food |

Note: All participants have to give a copy
of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance
company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in
case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't
cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu
and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses
paid by Nepal Ecology Treks for your helicopter rescue or research.
Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
** In
trek the guide is allowed
to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and
the physical condition of participants. Each participant who
stop his trek or make this trek more-fast cannot ask any money
compensation to the agency. |
