This trek unfolds
in a superb region, very rich in cultural diversity varying according
to the altitudes. With terraced fields (of rice, wheat) on the
way, you will pass through numerous ethnically different villages
( Tamangs, Sherpas, Tibetans, Brahmins ) always accompanied by
the ever-smiling & welcoming villagers. Immense rhododendrons
forests (from 2000m onwards) with 10m high trees blossoming in
March/April, and many orchids hanging on the mosses of the trees.
An authentic region less touched by tourism. Panoramic views
over the majestic Himalayan summits, especially from Tarkhegyang
and Sarmathang. The trekkers needs little walking experience
and a fair physical condition. (1000m of uphill walk on the 1st,

|
D.I : Arrival in Kathmandu (alt 1300M). Welcome
at the airport and transfer to hotel . Hotel included
D.2 :Free day in Kathmandu
D.3 : Departure to Bhaktapur (in local bus)
and visit of ancient royal capital and beginning of a small hike
of 5 hours of Bhaktapur to the temple of Shangunarayan and the
Stuppa Buddhist Tibetan of Bodhnath (beautiful walk).Return to
Kathmandu and night in hotel
D.4 :Departure by local bus from Kathmandu
for Sundarijal (40mn) ,village to 1500M ,and departure of the
hike. A stiff rise until the collar of LEKH to 2438M follow-up
of a coming down toward Pathi Banjyang (1768M). Night in Pathi
Banjyang
D.5: Departure from Pati Banjyang to Gul
Banjyang about 6 hours of walk in progressive rise by trails
to the middle of cultures in terrace. Gul Banjyang is about 2142M
high.
D.6: Departure from Gul Banjyang to Mangengot
3250M and Tharepathi Pass 3600M the highest point of the hike.
An imposing spectacle of glaciers, a magnificent view of the
Langtang Himal.
D.7: Departure from Tharepati to the village
of Melamchi Gaon. Forests of Rhododendrons, Short day of walk
of 5 hours about to reach this very beautiful Sherpa village
to 2660M and there to remain for the night.
D.8: Departure from Melamchi Gaon for the
village of Tarkegayang, while descending toward the river Melamchi
Khola (1800M) to go up again to the Sherpa village and Tibetans
of Tarkegayang to 2600M. It is the thickest village of the region,
with a temple and Buddhist monastery, 5 hour of walk.
D.9: Departure from Tarkegayang by trails
of Rhododendrons and astonishing forests. Of the wild Orchids
on trees. Arrival to Sarmathang 2600M, last Sherpa village. The
morning, magnificent view point on glaciers since the temple.
D.10: Departure from Sarmathang for Gyalthum/Talamarang
1220M while descending toward the river Melamchi Khola that one
is going to follow very for a long time. Night in '2 Rivers Lodge
' (near our free dispensary and free school).
D.11: Gyalthum to Kathmandu by local bus with
panorama view of Himalayan in Dhulikhel. Night in hotel.
D.12. Free day in Kathmandu. Transfer airport
according to the hour of. |

Welcome at the airport,
transfer to hotel/airport. Comfortable 2 stars hotel (near center
of Thamel) with breakfast, rooms with double bed/shower. All
treks are in full board. Accommodation and meals in the Lodges
(good quality locale food, the meals are not order by each
client in every lodge, but following the menu proposed by the
guide). All the transports (go/back on the places of trek
and during the trek).Plane
Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu.
Accompany by a professional Guide and one porter for 2 persons
to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2 persons). Trekking permit
and reconfirmation of your return plane ticket.

TREK UNDER TENT: Camping trek includes a team of guide,
assistant, cook & porters to accompany you. Porters carry
all trekking gears, food, fuel, & personal belongings, and
cook and assistants prepares hot meals. Trekkers carry only small
bag or what they might need during the day. we provide dining
tents, sleeping tents, mattress and toilet tents. |

TREK IN LODGE. The lodges are simple mountain shelters,
providing meals (very good local food) and simple rooms with
2 or 4 beds (Only in Ledhar and Phedi, it is a common dormitory).
In each lodge, you find a room with water (same as shower) for
bath. The treks in lodge pass in a very convivial atmosphere
permitting to have a closer look of Nepalese mountain life and
to encounter new person every day. It also permits to be in warm
room (kitchen and restaurant room) in cold season

FOOD DURING
TREK: Base of meals during
the trek are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast).
all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek
the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide
order the food |

Note: All participants have to give a copy
of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance
company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in
case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't
cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu
and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses
paid by Nepal Ecology Treks for your helicopter rescue or research.
Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
** In
trek the guide is allowed
to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and
the physical condition of participants. Each participant who
stop his trek or make this trek more-fast cannot ask any money
compensation to the agency. |
